Our classic Pekin duck carries beautifully tender meat and mild duck game flavor. The meat takes on the aromas and flavors of any spices or fruits it is roasted with, and makes a wonderful centerpiece protein for any occasion.
For an amazing crispy skin, poke or score the skin lightly, so as to not cut the meat, before putting the duck in the oven, in order to allow some of the fat to render out beneath the skin during roasting.
Pekin duck is the perfect introduction for anyone exploring duck for the first time. Compared to the Moulard, Pekin is milder in flavor and more forgiving when cooking: it can be slightly overcooked and not become tough.
Sold as whole ducks ranging 3.75 to 4.25 lbs each, vacuum-packed. May contain neck, does not include wing tips or giblets.
